Bus service update

Published on 19/12/22

We have been in contact with the council today regarding current issues affecting buses.

They have advised us that First Buses into and out of Hathersage have been diverted through Grindleford until 22 December because of a water mains repair and that these will be single decker buses. This means that students will have to catch the 272 First buses at the junction opposite The George Hotel - students should allow time to walk down to the bus stop if they live higher up the hill.

The public First bus will also be taking students and bus passes can be used on this service - this will also be a single decker service.

The First Bradwell bus is not running because of electrical works. Instead, the council are providing an Andrews service which will pick up and drop off at the Memorial Hall in Bradwell; pick-up will be at 08.30am in the morning. The bus will pick up outside school at the normal time at the end of each day. Bus passes will work on the Andrews bus - only students travelling to Bradwell should catch the Andrews bus.
