Did you know that all our school meals are cooked fresh on-site by our in-house team?
You can view the full current menu here.
Our students have access to a hot main meal everyday plus a daily special, a variety of chilled pasta pots, sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, hot Paninis or chicken/ Quorn baguettes plus jacket potatoes. We also cater for a range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and our vegan alternatives are also increasing.
Here at Hope Valley College we are proud to use British and sustainable produce. All of our meat is Red Tractor assured, meaning you can be confident that the food your child chooses to consume comes from a safe, traceable and responsible source that supports British farmers. Our cod is also derived from MSC (marine stewardship council) fisheries and therefore conforms to their scientific measure of sustainability.
In short, our catering team strives to mirror the enthusiasm our students display in relation to current ecological and environmental issues. This ranges from the products we source to the packaging we use and our aim to reduce our consumption of single-use plastics. We use biodegradable packaging where possible and, as you may know, no longer sell plastic bottles. Instead, we offer school-compliant canned drinks and our students are excellent at using the recycling facility we provide for these.
