    Students in Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) study a broad range of subjects: English, maths, science (including biology, chemistry and physics), PE, art, design and technology (including resistant materials, systems and control, textiles design, and food), ICT and computer science, drama, music, languages (including French and Spanish), history, geography, world views (including RE and philosophy) and personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE).

    Using Sparx Maths

    Students have access to Sparx Maths, which they use to complete homework and revise the whole maths curriculum. Sparx Maths can be accessed via the remote login page.

    Music development plan

    Schools are asked to publish a music development plan that captures their curricular and co-curricular offer and sets out how it will be staffed and funded. The Hope Valley College music development plan is available below:

    Note: in secondary schools, parents have the right to withdraw their children from the non-statutory/non-science components of sex education within relationships and sex education (RSE) up to and until 3 terms before the child turns 16.
